IPAN urges support for this signature and solidarity campaign by the peoples of the Pacific and Pacific Rim countries of which Australia is part.
It is a call on the Australian government and all those countries' governments in our region and the petition, with signatures, will be presented to our government later this year.
The call on governments reads:
For sustainable peace and the survival of our peoples and environment, we urge you to:
- Refuse to join military preparations for a US-China war;
- Declare you will not fight in a US-China war;
- Declare neutrality should such a war break out;
- Do not allow your territory or waters to be used in such a war, including the collection and relay of military intelligence, sales of weapons and hosting combatant troops and facilities
Here's how to take action:
- Please sign & share the petition here!
- Email [email protected] if you can volunteer to help with collecting petition signatures and delivering the petition to your government.
- Watch & share Pascal Lottaz's interview with Bevan Ramsden and Ann Wright about the campaign.
- Register for the Pacific Peace Conference on August 2 at 9:00am-5:00pm AEST in-person in Brisbane, Australia (+ on Zoom).
